The Realization

There is a time which comes in everyone’s life in which they realise something, something that may be important or unimportant, crucial or nugatory, relevant or irrelevant, but that is something that changes their lives. This change could be for bad or worse, good or better but there is a change. Sometimes that change can destroy a person, sometimes it can work as a complete opposite. Why does this happen? This always happens when a person gets hurt. Hurt beyond repair, heartbroken or left in despair, at a grave loss of something or somebody. People tackle hurt in different ways. And very frankly, there is an infinitesimal percentage that comes out of it successfully.

The question here is why let the thing that hurts ruin your life? Was that thing so worth the pain you are going ahead to cause yourself? You really must be a pessimist to think that way. It is hardly ever realised that we get to live only once and life is way too short. You cannot even guarantee if you would live tomorrow and no matter how many times this statement has been heard before, it is the ultimate truth. Another following it is, you will get only one chance. Only one chance to set things right, only one chance to make happy the one’s you have hurt, only one chance to improve. Grab it. Grab the chance before it is too late. Before you realise what you have lost.

Look around you. Just close your eyes for a second and think of how many people are there in the world who can do anything for you, who can never ever stop loving you no matter what you do. There is only one answer and that is your parents. It is time you do something for them to make them happy. Live for them as they have lived for you all their life. Before you follow the path of your destruction remember it not only you who is going to get destroyed.

Let the realization of that something that happens one fine day not overshadow your individuality. You come in world alone, you go alone. Life is a journey where you would meet people, some who will love you unconditionally, some that will take you for granted, some that will die for you, some that would want to kill you. But all said and done, always respect yourself. There is nothing more important than respecting yourself because when it is lost, it is almost impossible to get it back.

We started off on realization and I end on that. For each one a day would come when you realise something very important, something that would change your life. Let it always change you for the better. Because that is what you owe, to yourself!
